Tuition & Fees SchedulePAYMENT POLICYThe LIFE School of Leadership Arts Early Learning Center (LIFE) offers the following options for tuition payment. LIFE tuition fees are charged monthly or annually, depending on your arranged payment plan. The tuition fee will automatically be deducted from the checking account, savings account, or credit/debit card as provided on the Authorization for Automatic Deduction Form. Automating your payments frees up time and resources, allowing LIFE the opportunity to focus on Educational Programs for the benefit of our students. Checks will also be accepted and should be made out to: LIFE Global Schools. Tuition is divided into 12 monthly payments for your convenience. Some months have more school days and some months have less. There are no discounts or reimbursements for days missed due to illness, absences, vacation, severe weather, emergencies, or during the holidays when school is closed. Tuition must be kept current. In the case of early withdrawal, two weeks’ notice is required; payments made prior to the withdrawal will be applied to the two weeks’ notice period. Tuition charges will continue whether or not the child is in school until written notice is received that the child is being withdrawn from school. In cases of extended absences, payments are non-refundable and may not be altered. No tuition refund will be made after November 1 for the first semester and March 1 for the second semester, regardless of payment option. No tuition refund will be made at any time if a student is dismissed or asked to withdraw from school for discipline or unacceptable attendance reasons. Option 2: Monthly Plan – All tuition payments are due on the 1st day of each month, and will be considered late after the 5th day of the month. Any payment received after the 5th day of the month will result in a $25.00 late fee. Failure to comply with this plan will result in ineligibility for the monthly payment option unless other arrangements have been made with the Director and approved by the LIFE Administration. EDUCARE SUSTAINABILITY FUNDFamilies contribute to a Sustainability Fund each year that allows us to minimize EduCare Provider turnover and attract amazingly qualified, gifted, and loving team members. In turn, this allows our children to learn more and travel further in their development, because less time is needed each year to develop new bonds between EduCare Providers and students. Research shows that it also creates an amazing level of safety and trust as a core character trait within the students. LIFE makes every effort to have each child’s Primary Educator travel with them from late Infancy through Kindergarten, thus establishing continuity of care for the most formidable years of their early education while their personalities are most impressionable and forming. The annual EduCare Sustainability Fund (ESF) fee is $1,000 per child, due by October 15th each year. New families who register after October 15th, must pay the fee for the Sustainability Fund in full by the 60th day from date of enrollment.PLEASE NOTEParents who have not kept current on tuition payments will receive a letter to communicate with the school by a given date, or children will be excluded from school. It is not the intent of the Administration to exclude children from school, but to emphasize to parents the need for them to contact the school office to make other arrangements when they cannot make their tuition payments on time. DISCOUNTSFor families with multiple children enrolled at LIFE Early Learning Center, a 10% tuition discount will be allowed for each sibling after the first in the same school year.SCHOLARSHIPSLIFE School of Leadership Arts works with a number of Scholarship Tuition Organizations (STO’s) that offer preschoolers a scholarship if their child has a recorded Individual Education Program (IEP) or a parent serves in the military. Proof of IEP and military status is required. Kindergartners do not have any prerequisites to apply. Students who receive more than 50% of their tuition through scholarship (STO) will not be eligible for discounts. In addition, students who receive 50% of their tuition through scholarship (STO) will be not included in the count of multiple children from a single family. For those families who have applied for STO scholarship, tuition must be paid to LIFE School of Leadership Arts until LIFE School of Leadership Arts has received distribution of funds from the STO. LIFE School of Leadership Arts will reimburse you for any tuition payments that have been paid which are later funded by the STO. In addition, LIFE partners with state and local agencies to provide tuition subsidies to preschool families who qualify for assistance. Additional information is required to receive this subsidy. FEESRegistration: LIFE School of Leadership Arts charges a one-time non-refundable $150 registration fee per child. Families who withdraw their child(ren) after having paid the first tuition payment will forfeit the first month’s tuition payment. Exception: families who receive military orders, or move out of state. Instructional Resource Fee and Material Fee (R & M Fee): An annual non-refundable $200 R & M Fee for each student is collected at the end of the school year on June 1 for the upcoming year. The fee covers books, instructional supplies and materials, and additional programs. New families who register after the new school year’s cutoff, must pay both the Registration Fee and Resource and Materials fee, plus the first month’s tuition at time of registration. LATE PICK-UPIf you know you are going to be late, please call the school office. If you are late picking up your child from the after school care program, a $5.00 fee will be charged for the first five minutes after 5:30pm and $1.00 for each minute thereafter. You can rest assured that we work hard to create an at-home, family feel for our youngest children. They will be nurtured and supported in a loving environment that both stimulates their growth and soothes their tender spirits. In our Infant Program, we customize the daily schedule to follow your child’s needs and pre-existing patterns. On the next page, you’ll have space to write out the schedule you currently keep. If you don’t have a consistent routine, don’t worry! You can denote that as well, and we’ll help create a healthy routine for your child’s school day that will help foster a happy, wholesome experience and environment. It typically takes 1 - 4 weeks for young children to adjust to a new environment away from home, and we will treat your little one with the utmost loving care to help them thrive through the transition. In addition to the LIFE Family Handbook, there are a few additional details pertaining to our Infant Program. It’s important to share these in advance in order to set us up for success as a Home/School Family. What We Provide: ● Breakfast (for those who arrive before 8:00 AM) ● Morning Snack ● Lunch ● Afternoon Snack ● Bibs for mealtimes ● Formula (for those who need) ● Diapers ● Wipees ● All learning, development, and play materials used throughout the day ● Unlimited amounts of attention and TLC! What You Need to Bring: ● 3 changes of clothes to be stored in their cubby (including socks or booties) - Once used, we’ll send them home for washing and notify you to send in replacements. ● 4 porta-crib sheets - This will save you from having to remember to bring a new one each week. We’ll send them home for washing once monthly. ● Any blankie or lovie your child likes to sleep with - it cannot stay in the crib during nap time, but we may use it to help soothe them before sleeping. ● Bottles - If your infant is on bottles, please see the section below. ● Diapering ointment when needed (no sprays). Please note that in order for us to apply any OTC ointments, you must sign the “Topical Creams” release form, per licensing law. Simply contact our Admin Team, and they’ll be happy to help you. The EduCare Team is not allowed to apply any creams, ointments or medications without fully signed documentation. ● Sweater and/or jacket to accommodate indoor/outdoor temperature changes ● If your child has food allergies and cannot eat our meals, please make sure to speak with our Admin Team regarding allergy alternatives. Our food program is a big part of our school culture, and we want to do everything possible to foster inclusion for all children, while keeping them safe and nourished. Bottles ● You will need to bring in pre-prepared bottles each day, marked with your child’s first and last name (on bottle and cap). Please denote the contents of the bottle (ie, formula, breast milk, cereal). This can easily be done with masking tape on the bottle. They will be stored in a compartment of the fridge that is designated for your child only. You will also need to provide an approximate feeding schedule on the next page. (This applies to both formula and expressed milk.) ● If you are using our provided formula, we will send you home with canisters each month. You will simply use that formula to prepare the appropriate number of bottles, and send those in ready-to-go daily, per licensing law. This ensures that your baby is getting the amount of liquids and nutrients that you designate. ● We will send you home with the bottles at the end of each day. A friendly reminder from our Family Handbook that each child must be physically signed in and out of the room by the designated guardian each day of attendance, per state law. You will find the sign-in sheets in the classroom. Last, but not least, we want to support you as a parent and help make your life easier! If you communicate your intended drop-off and pick-up times daily, we will do our best to help you with smooth and quick transitions. They will also begin napping all together at the same time on individual cots after lunch. These can be new life skills and routines for a toddler, and every new transition requires a little time to adjust. Rest assured, your toddler will have mastery of the new environment in no time! Drop-Off and Pick-Up Details: On the first day of school, every parent wants to exert extra doses of love to make sure their child feels safe and secure, and that’s totally understandable! However, after the first day, it’s actually best for the child if you don’t linger in the classroom. The quicker you pop in and out, the quicker your toddler can start adjusting to their surroundings. We promise to take great care of your little one!
